So what does it matter if it comes out on PS3 or not?
I get a console to get away from the PC type of setup like installing games.
Even a demo or update requires you to install on the PS3, what the heck is going on?

Why would you want to wait 6-12 months and get an inferior version over your Alienware PC rigs?

Because it can run the latest and greatest games like Mass Effect 2 and Splinter Cell Conviction to satisfy all N4G non X360 owners that have a PS3.
For Linux and MAC OS owners, you are out of luck.
Now I have to spend another $60 with the other $120 that I already spent on pre-purchased FF13 and GOW3.
Also with SSF4, Red Dead Redemption and Splinter Cell in April with Alan Wake and Lost Planet 2 in May...might as well start stacking those Ramen Noodles and Costco branded Cola.
And Heavy Rain being so niche, as of right now there is only GOW3 being a guaranteed Blockbuster AAA game coming out the first half of 2010 for PS3.
X360 already have Mass Effect 2 with Splinter Cell Conviction, Alan Wake and Crackdown 2 waiting in the wings. What is all this talk of PS3 having a better lineup than X360 in 2010?
If the PS3 fans count MAG and WKC as great exclusives, then X360 might as well add Metro 2033, Ninety Nine Nights 2 to their exclusive l...
Until another rumored article of it coming to their beloved PS3. Then they will dump their mega powerful PC card and said they will wait for the PS3 version. It is a like automatic, really.

Also, you got to understand, Square just bought a US publisher. All their games coming out are on both platforms..what makes you think they will not put another FF game and Kingdom Heart on X360. $$$ is the name of the game.
Having said that, I think Mass Effect will go to PS3 too. It is just business. Loyalty and hatred is nothing to investors and profits.
Too bad I don't have a powerful PC rig.
